How does it play

Cubes 2 initially features a 5×5 play grid and is built around cluster pays. The grid also features an X cube in each corner of the initial grid. These are multiplier squares and if you land a cluster that includes one of these cubes a multiplier will be applied to your win.

This multiplier is based on the size of the cluster that first connects with the multiplier. For example, if your cluster is 7 blocks you will get a 7x multiplier. It is possible to have a cluster that connects across numerous multiplier cubes. These multipliers will be added together and then applied to the base win for the cluster size.

You will trigger a cluster pay in Cubes 2 by landing a group of at least 5 of the same color of block. Once this happens an additional ring will be will be added to the play grid increasing the grid size to 7×7.

If you connect a new cluster or add a new block onto your existing cluster another ring will be added to the play grid increasing the size to 11×11. This is the maximum size the grid can reach and your wins will be totalled after this size.

Free Spins Bonus Feature

There are two types of free spins feature in Cubes 2. The base free spins feature is triggered by connecting a cluster of all 5 of the different cube colors in the same set of grid expansions.

Once you have triggered the free spins bonus you are taken to the Cubes selection screen. In this screen you have 5 cubes to pick from. You will start with an initial 5 free spins and can add additional spins to this by revealing them with your picks. The maximum number of free spins you can take into this bonus is 12. Your picks will end once you reveal a colored block which will be your sticky color for the free spins bonus.

In the free spins bonus you will start with the initial 5×5 grid which will increase in size if you make a cluster with any color. However, if you make a cluster with your selected sticky color this cluster will stay in place for the rest of the spins.

Your goal is to make as many clusters as possible with your chosen colour and get them to be as large as possible as the amount of sticky cubes on the screen will count towards the win multiplier.

Multi-color Free Spins Bonus

To trigger the multi-color free spins bonus in Cubes 2 you need to connect clusters of the same color in all 4 of the corner multiplier cubes. You will then be taken to the multi-color free spins block picker.
